The seminar will take place in the Mathematics
Education Centre at Loughborough
University , Loughborough, England from April 6th to April 9th,
2008. The conference will commence with an informal reception on Sunday evening and close at lunchtime on Wednesday. Loughborough is located in the East Midlands, about 100 miles
north of London. The nearest cities are Nottingham and Leicester.
This conference is the first time that the Mathematics Working Group (MWG) of the European Society for Engineering Education (SEFI) and the institute of Mathematics (IMA) have jointly supported a conference on the Mathematical Education of Engineers (MEE). The SEFI (MWG) seminars take place every two years and this will
be the 14th in their series. The IMA MEE conferences have been held
every three years at Loughborough University and this will be the 6th
in their series, although this time the conference will take place two
years after the previous MEE conference.
This is a great opportunity for those interested in engineering mathematics
across Europe to get together, listen to and discuss relevant topics.
